Dr. Andrew Li
FOUNDER · SKIN CANCER MEDICINE
MBBS, FRACGP, Dip. SCCA, Cert. AAAM. Dr Andrew Li has dedicated more than 25 years of his professional life to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin cancer in Australia. During his career, he has cared for tens of thousands of patients and has remained committed to maintaining high standards of clinical care while striving to achieve the best possible medical and cosmetic outcomes for every patient. Through many years of practising skin cancer medicine, Dr Li developed a particular interest in Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)—an established treatment for certain precancerous skin conditions and sun-damaged skin. He recognised that, in almost all selected patients, PDT could offer an important additional benefit: improvement in the appearance and quality of the skin while treating underlying sun damage and precancerous changes.

With a strong foundation in medical and biological sciences, I have cultivated a particular passion for the skin—the body's largest and most complex organ. Over the past five years at Drummoyne Cosmetic and Skin Cancer Clinic in Sydney, I have honed my expertise through hands-on experience, complemented by recurrent professional training at the Australian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science. My practice reflects a commitment to combining scientific knowledge with cutting-edge technology to achieve optimal skin health and aesthetic outcomes.

No referral is required. You can book directly online or call our clinic to schedule a skin check, pico laser consultation, or PDT treatment with our team.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete your patient registration form. Bring your Medicare card and any relevant medical records or referral letters. Our doctor will perform a thorough assessment and discuss your treatment plan.
A full body skin check typically takes 20–30 minutes. Dr Li uses dermoscopy for high-accuracy assessment of moles and skin lesions. If any suspicious lesions are found, treatment options will be discussed on the same visit.
We accept EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, cash, and HICAPS for instant private health fund rebates on eligible services. Medicare rebates apply to certain skin cancer treatments.
Most patients describe Pico Laser as a mild snapping sensation. We use a cooling device and topical anaesthetic to ensure your comfort. Downtime is minimal — most patients return to normal activities the same day.
